What is the difference between goose and duck down, or down substitutes?
Goose down is often slightly larger and fluffier than duck down and therefore insulates even better and weighs less. Nowadays, however, high-quality synthetic down substitutes (down-feel) have been so well developed that they imitate the same luxury hotel feeling, but are animal-friendly and washable.
Is a down duvet suitable for people with allergies?
Natural down can sometimes trap dust mites if it is not woven tightly enough (look for the NOMITE quality mark). If you choose an innovative synthetic down substitute, you will have the softness of down with the 100% anti-allergy guarantee.
Can I wash and dry this duvet safely?
Down is vulnerable. It is best to take a real natural down duvet to a specialized dry cleaner. Do you have a down-replacement 'down-feel' duvet? These can often be washed in the washing machine at 40 or 60 degrees without any problems.
Doesn't the down all fall to one side over time?
