Four and a half years ago, Jens and I started with one goal: to build our own business.

No experience. No big masterplan. Just the drive to create something we could be proud of.

We chose to go after that goal. And today, we live it every single day by building Cloudpillo.

It started with a goal.

When Jens and I finished school at 18, we didn’t have a fixed plan. But we had ambition. We wanted to build something that gave us energy. We wanted to start a business.

We noticed that every brand claimed to have the “best pillow for everyone”, yet they all offered the same one size fits all design. That didn’t make sense to us.

Everyone sleeps differently. So why wasn’t there a pillow you could adjust to suit your own needs?

The development of Cloudpillo

We set out to find a way to give people the best possible sleep. That wasn’t simple. If everyone sleeps differently, how do you create one pillow that works for all?

The answer was clear. We needed to design a pillow you can adjust yourself.

After testing hundreds of prototypes, we knew we had it. A pillow that adapts to every sleep style.

That’s how Cloudpillo was born.

Expanding into a complete sleep range

We started the journey with just 2,000 pillows. Within a year, we had sold 40,000. Demand grew fast. So we built a team around us with the same drive and ambition. Our Dream Team.

With that energy, we looked beyond pillows. We started building a complete sleep range.

Because if you truly want to sleep well, sometimes you need more than just the right pillow.

International expansion

As we helped more people sleep better, our ambition grew too. So we looked beyond the Netherlands.

In 2023, we expanded into Germany. Two years later, we launched in the United Kingdom.
